God sometimes gives us unexpected gifts. Our gift has been a grandson who enlivens our lives and makes retirement very different than the one we anticipated. He is a special joy. And that's "Casey." In 2006 we fulfilled our dream of living in Italy for a year. It was every bit as wonderful as anticipated. This blog begins in 2005 as we prepared for that experience. Since then we have explored many places together. That's the "Travel." And finally, I am a person of opinions--spiritually, politically, on just about anything and that's the "Other Stuff." Welcome to my blog.

I laughed until I started to cry, because this guy is heading toward being the next Republican vice presidential pick, maybe press spokesman. You heard it here first!

Lordy. What a world. His 15-minutes of fame should be over! :)

Vicky and Annie--yep, it's pretty hysterically funny! And...his 15 minutes should never have started. Did you see the new Palin interview yesterday? If not, google it--it's a good laugh, too.

This is just real life comedy. This guy probably couldn't find Israel on a map before being offered the job.

Saw Palin's interview. Why is she still talking about the election? Everyone else has moved on.

Unbelievable! It shows that you can make a completely ridiculous show of yourself and then get a job offer from some right wing nuts.

Hi Jane,
Yes, saw that Palin interview. Amazes me she didn't start her complaining & defense of herself sooner.

Why ever did she agree to go on Saturday Night Live?

Have a wonderful trip to Washington!
