God sometimes gives us unexpected gifts. Our gift has been a grandson who enlivens our lives and makes retirement very different than the one we anticipated. He is a special joy. And that's "Casey." In 2006 we fulfilled our dream of living in Italy for a year. It was every bit as wonderful as anticipated. This blog begins in 2005 as we prepared for that experience. Since then we have explored many places together. That's the "Travel." And finally, I am a person of opinions--spiritually, politically, on just about anything and that's the "Other Stuff." Welcome to my blog.

Barb, thanks!! Nice compliment.
That's one of the best shots I've seem of the Ponte Vecchio!!! It must be the angle , it is beautiful.
Gil, you make me feel good! Yes, it's the opposite side from where most people take Ponte Vecchio pictures which is usually from the Ufizzi side. And then--the reflections were perfect--too good to pass up.
Jane - this is a beautiful picture. That new camera is working out well for you!
What a beautiful photo! I love the compositional effect caused by the reflection of the brige and buildings in the placid water.
What a beautiful shot and how exciting to read about your life in Italy...
Jann, thanks! And how nice you enjoy reading about our time here. It is really quite a wonderful experience.
