I went to school in a very small school with limited resources, so I know you can do this easier than I did. I got bored, too. When I did class reading or studying, I would pick something from what I did to study further. Sometimes all I had was the Encyclopedia Britannica and sometimes just old National Geographic magazines. But it gave me more than others got and I still remember a lot of things I learned that way.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13005615.post-27350015799943985492009-03-10T09:58:00.000-07:002009-03-10T09:58:00.000-07:00I so agree with the first one. I would mute it so Sophia wouldn't hear.
Casey is a brillant kid.
I still shocks me when kids pop out with such brillant thoughts and observations.jmisgrohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15698688864222116180noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13005615.post-79931113003739224182009-03-10T07:53:00.000-07:002009-03-10T07:53:00.000-07:00Ciao Barb, you brought tears to me this morning. Yes, we have given Casey some things and his experiences have been unusual, but something inside him is very special and makes him who he is. The flip side is that he is so all boy and child.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13005615.post-61703430575337856352009-03-10T02:36:00.000-07:002009-03-10T02:36:00.000-07:00Altho we all marvel at how much smarter kids are t...Altho we all marvel at how much smarter kids are today, you and Ken have to take a lot of the credit with Casey - you'e shown him the world and exposed him to so many things! You've made him aware that not everyone has enough to eat and have encouraged him to donate some of his own money to help the less fortunate. It's wonderful that Casey has truly absorbed everything you've taught him, but you and Ken deserve so much credit! You're raising a boy who will be an asset to the world!Barbarahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13853057494479680201noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13005615.post-3507995207531079292009-03-09T21:50:00.000-07:002009-03-09T21:50:00.000-07:00Annie, I loved that too. He couldn't think of anything and so put in the caveat.
Barb, Candi and Chiocciola, I was pretty impressed with his take on what's happening in the world. Ten year olds are certainly more astute today than when I was 10.
